Lanning Gallery - now over twenty-five years old, offers a special exhibit called “Women of Steel” showcasing two women who both make their art by wielding a blowtorch. Nina Scott-Hansen creates sculptures of hilariously bedraggled birds and elegant horses – all from welded steel. And local artist Valerie Ostenak creates unlikely, but award-winning, jewelry pieces from forged steel. |
